I have had Brighthouse for about 12 years now because they are the only cable company available in our area. For two years I have had poor signal/picture. Tech came out told me TV was bad so we bought a new TV and had same problem. Was told going to digital would fix problem, went to digital and guess what - frequently get broken pixellation, garbled sound and fuzzy reception. Have tried to find out who I can complain to, contacted the local office asking to speak to the state, area or regional person in charge and was told there is no such person. Can't even find a corporate address outside the local office to mail a complaint letter to.
Local office sent a tech out last month and he "adjusted" the signal, still had problems, he replaced the receiver box and it has improved some but still having intermittent break up and pixel freezing but, get this, the only box he had on his truck that was working was a DVR. Was supposed to return with a regular HD receiver to replace it. Never came back, now this month I get a bill for a partial month and full month DVR $28. I have had it, going to cancel and go with Dish Network or Direct TV.
