Default DIRECTV vs Cablevision, please help.

I am thinking of switching to Cablevision from Directv. Currently I subscribe to "Total Choice", which is too old to be found among their new packages. Anyway, I have a HD DVR and a HD receiver. My question is how Cablevision's HD service is given a satisfactory experience with that of Directv. Furthermore, does Cablevision offer something similar to Directv's .. on demand? If so, which has more collection?

well, i actually went from cablevision to directv. i couldn't take the slow boxes and the switched video from cable. i also feel that directv's hd looks better. however, there are a few hd channels that cablevision has that directv doesn't have but i wish directv had. cablevision does have video on demand. i actually think it's a bit better than directv.
