Back on the 8th I ordered HSI from comcast. Here we are at the 21st still no service. Here a list of everything that has happend
on the 10th a guy came out to install the stuff, no cables from the cable box out front to my new home.
They finnally dig and put the cables in on the 20th.
not angry yet see next portion for why I am angry.
Evening of the 20th I get a call, tech can be tomorrow (read the 21st) I HAVE to be home from 1pm to 5pm. Ok I get my boss to let me have have part of the day off (I started the new job on Oct 5th, so new guy is asking for part of a day off) 5:00pm comes around no guy shows up (anger starting to build) I call in, "oh you did not have to be home that was the tech for outside" also get informed that they can setup another tech visit, but I have again take time off work (remember I only started on the 5th, not going to be good for the new guy to take part of 2 days off) but I HAVE to be home from 1 to 5. at this point I am pissed, I got lied to yesterday I took time off of work to be home today, but it was not the right guy, even though I was told I HAD to be home, wasting the time 4 hours out of my day. And I am kind of stuck as fios is not here so comcast has a monopoly here.
So,
1) what do I say to get internet installed at a time I can really be home, not take time off of work (and look bad for taking time off being the new guy)
2) Do I even have other options, at this point I would be willing to just say fsck comcast and go with some one else.
3) can I file a compliant against them, for the lieing they did yesterday to me.
I can tell you internet over cell phone is no fun it is so SLOW.
If your service is active and connected outside to your house, and you have the wiring already inside - pick up a self install kit at any local office.![]()
