I recently bought a LG LCD TV with a HD tuner built into it and I cannot recieve the HD channels on my TV. The cable compnay that I recieve my signal from is inserting the HD channels into the cable plant as a QAM signal. I know if I connect directly to a HD antenna I can view the channels but trying to obtain them off of the cable plant is not working. If anyone can help please do!! Also let me know if this is something others have seen. I have a friend who is having the same problem with a 52" panasonic Plasma TV and he is about as unhappy as can be. I have had the cable company out and they brought a Sony TV and that picks up the HD channels no problem. Please dont tell me I should have bought a sony because that wont help at this point!
