Re: Crystal broadband networks
Windjammer sold all of their n.c. Accts to crystal also effective june 1.i really doubt that windjammer told them that much of the system is antiquated and wore out. I have tried for 2 weeks to get my cable fixed and everytime i called they would tell a lie and swear they were telling you the truth. I cut the line tofinnaly put a stop payment on the check i mailed them . I will not be a crystal broadband customer i am having direct tv installed monday and will be climbing the pole to my house when they get direct tv installed. Nobody wants to spend the money to upgrade it thats why time warner sold it to windjammer and thats why they are selling to crystal broadband.

Re: Crystal broadband networks
Wanderer if you go with directv make sure you use a referal when you sign up. You can get an additional 100 dollars of your bill in the form of 10 dollars off for 10 months. The person that refers you also gets this. I just thought i would let you know. If you have a friend or relative you can both enjoy the savings.
The cable co's internet is actually very good in this area. i get just a tad less than 15mb download 734kbps upload. Their cable tv is in desperate need of upgrading in this area though. I wonder what areas went to crystal broadband. I know about 8k subs went to suddenlink and some went to new wave cable. I'm assuming most of the rest went to crystal broadband then. I could care less about the cable tv in my area as i already have directv hd and really like it. However i hope they keep the internet up and running because my only other alternative is 3mb at&t dsl or wireless.

I very seriously doubt that Crystal would purchase the system sight unseen. I'm sure they did there due dilegence and checked the system and facilities out.

Re: Crystal broadband networks
Run from Crystal Broadband as fast as you can. After what I went through with them as a tech. Its not fun nor far. Never could get parts, vehicles breaking down. Even as a tech they promised me things and never delivered. And they wondered why they are losing customers. Yes, they are from India. They layed all the American workers off so they could keep their india workers going. This company is a large scam if I ever seen one.

Re: Crystal broadband networks
I lease property to Crystal in SW Missouri... They owe me money and will not return phone calls or emails. They got the power shut off to the head-in station they have on my land due to not paying the bill (they owe the power company owe 100.000). They sent me a letter saying they will not continue service in this area. the whole area is without cable and are going with directv or dish. I have been trying to get the money the owe me for lease payment but they will not respond. I am forced to sue and try to sell all of the head-in equipment to another company (if possible) They left everything for complete head-in station!! Do not deal with this company!!! while they still operated here the service sucked.... no tech in the area and channels going out and staying out for months!! Picture quality sucked!! Every channel was snowy...some so bad you could not watch!

Re: Crystal broadband networks
They suck! 1 in 4 of the reps you get on the phone really undersatnd english. They speak it, but have no clue what it means. My digital channels have been out for a 2 weeks. I've called 5 times. They lie to me every time till tonite. Every time I called they told me they tried to "hit my box" and couldn't so a technician would come out tomorrow, or one is working there now it should be back on tomorrow. Well tonite they actually hit my box. 2 hours ago. It's down for the count.
