Default Will my old echostar antenna/dish work with current DN?

10 years ago we had Echostar (DN). The antenna/dish is still installed/intact, as well as the cable.

We're considering Directv, and I'm wondering if the old antenna/dish will work? We're only interested in a single tuner/ non-HD set up.

    Thoughts?
(yes, I know we'll have to re-set the dish to Directv's satellite)

I wouldn't waste any time or money on the old stuff. I'm sure the Mylar has dry-rotted, and the cable path has almost certainly deteriorated. At 10 years of age, it's probably old 900MHz cable anyway. They're using 2.2 and 3GHz cables and fittings now. DirecTV pretty much gives away hardware to new customers anyway.
