Thread: Cost to Upgrade to DOCSIS 3.0?

I was hoping y'all could help me find out what one should expect to upgrade a DOCSIS 2.0 CMTS to DOCSIS 3.0. I'm most interested in what it would take to upgrade to an ARRIS C4. In particular, I'm hoping to learn:
-What does the software upgrade cost (believe version 7.0 offers DOCSIS 3.0 capability)
-How much is the new Routing Control Module (RCM)?
-What does the 16 x 0 card cost? How does this compare to current 2 x 12?
-Are there any other costs to ugrade?

Ranges (vs specific numbers0 are still helpful... just trying to get into the ballpark. I'm sure this differs by how much you buy. I would really like to understand the specific pieces if possible.

I don't use Arris but I know every vendor has different discounts based on volume. Whatever is stated here will be different than what you get quoted unless you work for the same company!
