Cisco/SA 8500HDC set-top boxes
Just got a new Cisco RNG200 which seems to be the same as the 8500HDC. Am having a problem with a Harmony remote. It works only for about a minute with the correct codes, then the DVR starts to interpret the remote codes as mainly 0's. Tried learning every code on the Comcast remote into the Harmony and it still does the same thing. The Comcast remote works fine. The Comcast older silver remotes don't handle the new box. Comcast has a newer gray remote they put out which works both the old and new cable boxes. Wonder if the box gets confused because of the signal for some reason. Probably too new to get an answer, but any ideas.

Re: Cisco/SA 8500HDC set-top boxes
I just went and got one today, been doing research on it, and it seems the rng200 and sa8540 are the same guts internally. Also it seems that they are using hdmi 1.3 on these so maybe the handshake issues will be resolved.
