VSAT Satellite Tecnician
Responsibilities
Providing technical support and resource to ensure delivery of service.
Liaison with clients, and groups within Tek Empire to ensure the timely delivery of service.
Installation, commissioning and maintenance of fixed and stabilized satellite systems, including:
Configuration, test and faultfinding of satellite modems.
Configuration, test and faultfinding of C & Ku-band RF units
Assembly of fixed antenna systems
Assembly of stabilized antennas and radomes
To assist with the problem solving of technical issues within the company.
Travel to customers sites overseas often at short notice.
Ad hoc duties as required.
Comply with all safety requirements implemented by employer, customers, facility owners or venders involved in the field techs’ daily tasks.
Complete all required paperwork accurately, legibly and obtain proper approvals from job site location management.
Communicate job progress to Tek Empire and clients.
Meet clients expectations before deadlines
Must have satellite meter such as bird dog "ultra" or of comparison to, equipped with built in spectrum analyzers.
PC literate
Radio- able to install and fault find on typical maritime installations (LOS, VHF, UHF)
　
Experience:
• 2 yrs. experience in audio/visual system installations
• Must have own vehicle with valid driver’s license, registration and insurance
• Must have your own tools and ability to follow safety standards while working on commercial construction sites and finished client business
• Proficient with signal flow and control systems for distributed audio and video systems
• Experienced in commercial distributed audio and video systems
• Experienced in computer network systems and Security CCTV
• Experienced in racking equipment, wiring components and dressing the cabling
• Ability to run wiring and conduit throughout a building and small spaces
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
• Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds, work in confined spaces
• Professional dress, demeanor and attitude
•This is a 1099 tax position you will be acknowledged as a independent technician, we do not with hold taxes, we simply issue you a statement at the end of the year with a statement of yur earnings you have occurred while employed by Tek Empire.
