I work for a triple play service provider called Pavlov Media servicing MDU properties in 35+ states across the board. In addition to the two full time jobs I need to fill below, I am constantly looking for qualified contractors to help support our headends, DirecTV, Dish, and networks in our local markets. Regional Technical Manager is responsible for managing a regional technical team that cooperatively works with Network Operations Center (NOC) and Technical Support to discover issues, fix and maintain current networks and video plants in the assigned geographical region.
Regional Technical Manager is focused on communicating and balancing the needs between Pavlov customers, contractors, field techs, property staff, and Pavlov corporate. This position fills the unique role of balancing deployment, NOC, Technical Support and sales needs
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management - 60 % of Time
•Crews regional work force to manage and repair regional networks; approves overtime and vacations as need.
•Ensures that all technical work is at the quality level required and described in the Pavlov Media standard operating procedures (SOPs).
•Works closely with Pavlov Deployment Project Managers, monitoring all regional projects and providing labor when necessary.
•Recruits and engages contractors when needed; dismisses contractors as warranted.
•With the Regional Sales Manager, makes decisions on direction and growth of market; identifies, qualifies, and scopes new business in the region.
•Identifies trouble networks and prioritizes and plans network re-designs as needed
•Works with NOC to plan maintenance procedures and schedules for networks and video plants in assigned region.
•Ensures that all regional networks and video plants are documented according to Pavlov standards.
•Provides training to staff to keep them technically abreast of all Pavlov products and services, bug fixes, software releases, and troubleshooting methods.
•Maintains personal relationships and good communication with property staff
•Proactively monitors and works closely with NOC to plan re-designs, upgrades and improvements as needed.
