Can`t transfer movies from Motorola DCH6416 to external disk. I recently got this Motorola cable box, but I cant get it to transfer all recorded movies. It seems USB ports are disabled since my laptop doesnt recognize this box. Does anyone can help me to move this data off the box?
Re: Can`t transfer movies from Motorola DCH6416 to external disk. Depending on who your cable provider is most USB ports are disabled. You may have to transfer them by hooking the DVR up to your computer with the composite cables.
There is a USB device that's cheap that will let you do this. You can get it at you local electronics store like Best Buy. Its called Dazzle.

Re: Can`t transfer movies from Motorola DCH6416 to external disk. I cant think of any other way of doing it other than that. The way i suggested would work but you would hove to hook it up and then hit the play button on the DVR then the record button on the Dazzle software.
