Does anyone have any links to websites that explain Cable access? I need to know about the usual cost, the cost of the modems etc..etc... Is it an always on connection? I'm kinda dumb when it comes to cable access. Here in Anniston, Alabama most people have had DSL service for some time now. My neighbor three blocks down has it, and bellsouth says they don't know if they'll ever get it down the extra three blocks to my house. Well found out today that Cable One has begun it's roll out of cable access to it's employees and some dealers to "work out the kinks." Hmmmm, I wonder what kind of kinks I can expect.....Cable one would not give me much information just that by the end of May it should be available to most. DirecPC has dropped all it's dial-up access numbers in Alabama, so DirecPC is out of the question, because I am not switching to an ISP that supports IP tunneling and then pay them and pay DircPC the $39.95 for the use of their service....Anyway any info anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.....
