bandwith allocation
ok here's the deal i noticed the other day that when i upload my download speed seems to slow greatly...i had always thought both were independent of each other but after i posted my question i learned that this was far from the truth, so i decided to conduct an experiment. I downloaded a large file from one person (on cable a few states away) and uploaded to another person (also on cable but closer to my house), here's the jist of what i got....
108k down 2k up
4k down 20k up
13k down 12k up
64k down 3k up
(i used the du meter to measure these, it's pretty accurate for me)
Well u probably get it by now, when one was high, the other was low except for that one spot in the middle where they were both at a happy medium. My question is can you allocate how much of ur bandwith u want to go to certain tasks?
