Thread: A thief named Jeff Barnett from paris ky.

This is a story about a Thief named Jeff Barnett from Paris Kentucky.

I have known Jeff for about 12 years or so. Jeff has always been a paranoid schizophrenic since I’ve known him. He always thinks someone is out to get him like “aliens” or something. He always talks about fiber optics being brought to earth by aliens.

Jeff asked me to go to Bardstown KY to help him splice and activate their new addition to their system. He said he was running behind and that he would not beat the deadline if I didn’t help. I agreed to accept a very low payment for my services because he is a friend. 3 weeks go by of me driving to Bardstown and I finally got paid $200 for the 3 weeks work. Now, I had $300 in fuel. Jeff says he’ll pay me more later. I drive to Bardstown for another 2 weeks. Then I got paid another $200 for the 2 weeks. I asked Jeff “when will I get the rest of the money” he said "as soon as I get it". So I figure he owes me at least the remaining $100 in fuel plus at least another $500 in payment for my services.

2 months later I still have not got paid for the Bardstown job. Jeff calls me again and asked me to go help him in Cleveland Ohio to change over a small system from cable to dish network. I asked him about the money for the Bardstown job and he said he would pay me after the Cleveland job. So I agreed to go help him in Cleveland for 5 days. HUGE MISTAK ON MY PART!

Jeff and I arrived in Cleveland and started working. It seems that the supervisor in charge had figured Jeff out quickly. The supervisor was asking me technical questions and not Jeff. Jeff got pissed off at the situation. Jeff informed me that I was to only speak at his request. WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN? He says that I was brought to Cleveland to labor only that if the supervisor had questions that I was not to answer him. This is Jeff’s paranoia coming though. Jeff repeatedly talked down to me like I was a beginner. I have over 20 years in the cable field.
So the third day came. Jeff was getting worse, continuing degrading me so he could look good to everyone hoping to get a contract to change over more systems. I have had enough can’t take anymore. Our friendship went right out the window. I tried to make since of the whole thing but no luck. So we got back to the hotel and then Jeff left. So at that time I decided that this trip was over so I gathered my cloths and meter and went to the bus station leaving my tools in his truck because he left and I didn’t know when he was coming back. Thinking I would get my tools back when he paid me. A couple of day's later I asked about my tools and he said he threw them out of the truck in Cleveland. This was about $2500 in tools.


Well it’s been 2 months now and after about 25 ignored phone calls and about 15 ignored texts Jeff finally gave me a paycheck. It was sticking in my door when i got how from work. What a cowardly thing to do so he would not have to face me. It was $125 short and with no Bardstown money. I called jeff about the shortage and said "It is what it is" and the hung up on me.

You always talk about how your work is fantabulus. And how your end of the line readings are so good and how you’re the best and everybody is beneath you. When you were me contractor years ago i always had to follow you around and fix the shit you fixed. How can you get end of the line readings when there is no tap at the end of the line. That’s because you’re a lire. I think and I’m sure most other people think your work is shit and always has been. Nobody likes you Jeff. Why do you think you have worked alone for all these years? Let me tell you. It’s because you and idiot that thinks you know everything. Yes Jeff you’re that guy you always talk about.

So the way I see it Jeff you owe me about $3625. You should have thought real closely about screwing someone that owns a successful cable TV website. This website gets about 5,000 people a month reading job listing and articles. So I’m sure that some of these people know you and will not ever give you a job or trust you. You are a cheat and a lire and a thief. It’s a shame I went way out of my way to help you and you shit on me. So if you decide to pay me and return my tools I will delete this thread.
