    Question HD Compression

Does TW compress their HD channels?
I ask, because my TV "pixelates" during some scenes in HD channels. At first, I thought it was my TV unable to process fast enough. But I bought a newer TV with 120mhz processing, supposedly giving the clearest picture. Alas, it didn't change any HD from TW.

    HOWEVER!!!!!!
DVD, BluRay, and even HD iTunes (via Apple TV) of the same movie or TV show DO NOT PIXELATE during showing and the sound is even better. Hence, my conclusion is TW must compress the sh*t with their HD channels.

    Default Re: HD Compression

Broadcasters very often compress the video first. TWC, like all cable video providers, may further compress it especially trying to get 3 HD channels in 1 QAM.
