    Lightbulb Motorola DCH6416

Hey All! This being my first experience with a Moto box, I was hoping I could get some insight from others...

I was just installed with Windjammer Cable yesterday morning (Formerly Time Warner, and formerly formerly Adelphia) and my internet is working decently, but the cable is leaving alot to be desired... I can get most of my programming, but all the Guide, Info, and Menu will show is "To Be Announced" or "One Moment Please" (Makes it kinda hard to set shows to record, and can't see what's coming on or even what channel i am watching)... Several phone calls in today, several hits and powercycles later, I have a tech scheduled for tomorrow... Now I know on the SA boxes in the Comcast system (in Notheast PA, where I just moved from and worked as a contractor for), if we experienced the same issue, we could get into the internal menu, page 2 would show the servers, the IPG server would usually be "Waiting" while all others were "Ready", then we could force it to connect to the IPG and download the guide information using a specific key sequence on the remote... Is there a way to do this on the Moto boxes as well?

Thanks for reading and in advance for any help!

    Talking Motorola DCH6416

Press in this order within seconds:

    Power > Select > Select

Now check the OOB Status. This should give you the frequency that the guide, menu and information comes through on. Make sure it is Fair or Good. >>>> Poor = your problem

Does the Time show properly on the 6416? Normally if the time shows correct and you still don't have any IPG then it is probably a bad STB. If no time shows (channel number shows only) then either you have multiple STB's on the account and they are not set in the proper order, or the STB has not downloaded the firmware properly.
